When industrial 3D printer manufacturer 3D Platform introduced their flagship printer to the market, it attracted a lot of attention by being much more than just a 3D printer. The 3DP Workbench is an industrial printer with, as its name suggests, a full workbench attached, complete with ample storage in the form of drawers and cabinets, as well as a large workspace. It’s no gimmick either; the printer itself attracted many with its large build area, affordability, and reliability, and according to 3D Platform it’s been selling very well in the six months since its release.

The first stop was today in Bloomington, Minnesota, at the site of local reseller MasterGraphics. Next up will be stops in Michigan and Ohio. Anyone involved in manufacturing operations, including design engineers, shop floor managers and front office staff, is welcome to register for an event.

And we can bring it all directly to a customer.”
According to 3D Platform, the major obstacles preventing many business owners from adopting 3D printing are high costs and lack of accessibility – two obstacles that 3D Platform made sure to address with the 3DP Workbench. Representatives at each roadshow stop will demonstrate the capabilities and ease of use of the Workbench, as well as offering expert information and advice about how to implement 3D printing into businesses’ workflow. There will also be prizes, sweepstakes, and, 3D Plaftorm says, “maybe even lunch.”
