Sharebot, an Italian based 3D printer manufacturer who has previously been known for their ‘Sharebot Next Generation’ 3D printer, announced today the release of a brand new Kiwi-3D Printer, which they are making available both in kit form as well as fully assembled. Sharebot has been known in much of Italy as one of the premier domestic 3D printing companies. Their ‘Next Generation’ 3D printer is a top-of-the-line machine comparable to other more well known mid-sized FDM 3D printers on the market.
Today, with the release of the Kiwi-3D, the company is making a more affordable, smaller 3D printer, available to the masses.
“Sharebot Kiwi3D is a 3D printer [derived] from the Sharebot NG, and from its bigger sister takes the characteristics of solidity and professionalism, focusing on [these] qualities in a 3D printer with smaller dimensions adjusted for making every desk a personal creative center,” said the company.
Sharebot intends for this printer to be one which is more widely adopted, based on both its smaller price tag, and smaller dimensions. “Smaller dimensions and convenience make the Sharebot Kiwi3D the ultimate 3D printer for schools, students, young professionals and everyone who wants to enter the 3D print world with a little, practical, smart and fast tool that is perfectly integrated in best tradition of Italian design and ‘Made in Italy’,” said Sharebot via their website.
For those looking for a completely assembled 3D printer, they can purchase the Kiwi-3D for only 696€. For those that want to get their hands dirty, and build their own 3D printer, they have the option of purchasing the Kiwi-3D Kit for only 570€.
The Kiwi-3D is constructed using a stainless steel body and a plexiglass enclosed build chamber. It measures only 310x330x350mm and features a 100x140x100mm build volume. It has the ability to print with minimum layer thickness of 0.1mm, and like most other FDM 3D printers, uses 1.75mm filament. It also features an adjustable build plate, the ability to print directly from an SD card, and an integrated LCD monitor.
